DHS Chorus news:

I would like to share with you some information about a very exciting event that is just around the corner in which our very own Douglas High School Chorus and DHS  A Cappella Ensemble (Blue Light Special) will be performing at Worcester’s renowned Mechanic’s Hall.  The groups will be special guests of the Worcester Men of Song as they present their annual winter concert.
Mechanic’s Hall is widely thought to be one of the best venues in which to see and hear a performance in North America – some would even say, the world, and our students will have an opportunity to share the music they’ve prepared from its stage.  The concert will also feature performances by the Worcester Men of Song Chorus and the North East District Senior Barbershop Quartet Champions Trade Secret.
Tickets for the concert are available through various outlets but are being offered at a discount rate through the high school music department.

Formal Invitation from Mr. DeNoncour

Off to Baltimore
Our Band/Chorus and Auxiliary teams will be travel to Baltimore for a festival this spring.  Mr. DeNoncour presented this proposal to the School Committee on Wednesday night and the proposal was approved.  The planning and funding is underway and we are excited that our students will have this great opportunity.  We also express our appreciation to the Booster's who continue to provide financial support needed to keep these programs up and running and we are so grateful.

Thanksgiving Food Drive

DHS is once again conducting a Thanksgiving Food Drive.  The Student Council and the faculty, staff and administration will endeavor to provide local families with need with a complete holiday meal.  The Student Council will be holding a food drive, collecting food items to support this goal right up until Thanksgiving and we hope you will consider sending in that which you can share.  They will provided the majority of the food raised to the local food pantries.  Food items such as rolls, gravy, vegetables, stuffing, cranberry sauce, pies etc. will be very much appreciated.

The faculty, staff and administration will be collecting money to be used to shop for holiday baskets that will include all the fixings for a complete holiday meal.  Should you wish to make a contribution please stop into the school's main office and our staff will be glad to assist you.  We thank you for any support you can provide to this meaningful community outreach initiative.
