Important Reminder:
We have closed out third quarter; it is important that the members of our Senior Class meet all obligations required for graduation. Please confirm with Mrs. Fitzpatrick that you have completed all of your community service obligations as well as the payment of your class dues as soon as possible. If a student or a parent has a concern for the status of their senior relative to these obligations they can contact Mrs. Fitzpatrick or me by email.
Today, we mailed out letters to parents indicating exactly what obligations that their child has not completed. It is imperative that these obligations be completed sooner rather than latter. These obligations are part of their graduation requirements and failing to complete these will keep them being able to participate in any of the Senior Week activities including the graduation. Please complete these obligations!

Off to New York:
The Douglas High School Band and Chorus will be participating in a three day two night trip to Festival of Music being held at Felician University in Lodi, NJ. The dates of the trip are Friday April 29th - May 1st.
All groups will be performing at the festival before judges on Friday. They will be competing with other high schools from the northeast at this festival.
During the trip, they will have the opportunity to attend an afternoon at Six Flags Great Adventure Park in Jackson, NJ; travel to NYC and spent time at the Top of the Rock Observatory in Rockefeller Plaza; Tour the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island and then conclude their trip by touring the 911 Memorial before returning to Douglas on Sunday May1st.
This is such a wonderful opportunity for our students to be able to compete in a performance based setting while also interacting with some historically poignant sites. We extend our best wishes to our students for their performances as well as express our gratitude to Mr. Elliot, Mr, DeNoncour, Ms. Burrows and Mr. Rheaume for their support of this experience for our students. We certainly value their dedication to the students and the quality of the programs.
Lastly, we again express our appreciation to the DHS Music Boosters for their on-going support of our students and our programs.
