Field Hockey

The Field Hockey team continues to battle their opponents, like Nipmuc. This year's team is young, competitive and committed to their team goals. Coach Lavin has them playing well against all their opponents. Below are some photo's from their game versus Nipmuc on Wednesday.  It was a tough 2-0 loss to this league powerhouse.

Cross Country
The cross country teams ran against Sutton on Saturday October 4th at Sutton's Homecoming.
The girls defeated the Suzies 27-30 behind great performances from Makenzie Cyr and Caroline Meizen who finished 1, 2 respectively.  Rounding out the top five in securing the win was 5th place finisher Tess Miller, Kylie Blake in 7th and Rebecca Rokne in 12th.
The boys team lost to the Sammies 26-32.  But the highlight of the race was Conner Grady, who took the medalist spot, followed up one second later by Trevor Mungeam.

The boys team also battled Whitinsville Christian on Wednesday october 8th and lost a close meet. The team continues to be lead by strong performance from Connor Grady, Trevor Mungeam, Patrick Peloquin, Jake Thackaberry, Matt Desilets, Alex Mazaro and Zach Eldridge.

The girls had a big win against Whitinsville Christian on Wednesday. The team continues to impress with wins over top league and regional teams. The team is getting strong performances from Makenzie Cyr,  Caroline Meizen, Tess Miller, Kylie Blake and first year runners Rebecca Rockne and Kirsten Jussaume. Alex Maslin unfortunately is out with an injury at this time.

Coach Doyon and Harrington are pleased with the teams effort and the quality of student-athletes that they have in the program. They are competitive against all teams and will be heard from in the upcoming district and state meets.

Volleyball
On Monday October 6th he girls varsity volleyball team defeated Worcester North 3 – 0.  Katelyn Cotnoir had an outstanding day with 16 service points, 4 aces, 1 kill and 10 assists.  Allie Leach had 9 service points, 2 aces and 6 assists and Meghan Carroll had 8 kills to contribute to the Tigers win.

On Thursday night the team defeated Nipmuc Regional 3 games to none. The match was perhaps the best performance of the year for the team. They are putting on a push on to get themselves eligible for district play and with strong performances like Thursday night we're confident that they will get there. Thursday night's game was also a fundraiser with proceeds going to the American Cancer Society. This event was the Senior Project for Allie Leach and Courtney Cotnoir. Congratulations lady on a wonderful way to support the important work on cancer research.
