Principal's Blog for Friday April 11th

*Today all students received their term 3 report cards. Parents are reminded to review their child's report card.  Students are reminded to not tell their parents that they didn't receive their report card today.

Term 3 provides an assessment of all students’ level of achievement on the school's Social and Civic Expectations.  The codes are listed on the front of the report card and the assessment rubric is on the back of the report card.  This is information that parents should review to have a better understanding of how their child is performing on these expectations.

                    Senior Citizens Breakfast
On Wednesday the members of the Peer Leaders hosted a wonderful group of senior's from the community for a breakfast of pancakes, french toast sticks, hash browns, sausage, juice and coffee.  Our guests were entertained by the grade 8 chorus and the HS Blue Light Special group led by Mr. DeNoncour.  The Jazz Ensemble performed as well under the direction of Mr. Elliot. All three groups were terrific.  Below are some photo's from the event.

Please visit the HS Web page to view the April Newsletter.  It will provide additional details to events, activities, photos and calendar reminders.

During this program, students meet with peers, work with professional artists, learn about post secondary art training, and investigate art careers. Art All-State is designed to foster high caliber art education for the young people of Massachusetts by matching students with professional artists to create large-scale artworks inspired by the Museum's collection. Through gallery and studio experiences, AAS challenges and inspires these participants to think creatively about themselves and the role that art can play in life after high school.
